CLA SITE, in collaboration with CHA Companies, provided design and photo simulation services for this unique stream daylighting project at Tivoli Park in the City of Albany, NY.

CLA SITE was responsible for visual renderings and planting plans to naturalize the streambed and overflow channel.

The overflow area will allow the 100 YR flood stages to safely flow through the Lake Area to help replenish the Lake and more naturally control stormwater overflows. The stream edge vegetation is designed to handle the inconsistent periods of water inundation and drought. This project is a key function of the overall development of Tivoli Park.

This project has won several awards to date, including the 2021 APWA New York State Environmental Project of the Year (<$5 Million), 2021 APWA New York Capital Branch Environmental Project of the Year (<$5 Million), and 2022 ASLA New York Upstate Awards Program – Merit Award for the Built Design Category.
