Mid-Level Landscape Designer

Do you enjoy seeing a project through to completion, paying attention to details from the initial planning stages through its completion? Do you possess a passion for the artistic and design aspects of landscape architecture, as well as putting the finishing touches on construction documents? Do you have an interest in traditional and sustainable site design? If so, you will find working with CLA Site a rewarding experience.

We are proud of our award-winning projects, such as our work on the site plan and concessions improvements at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), our collaboration with the Oneida Nation of Indians, the City of Rome, and inspiring artists on an urban art installation. Position requirements for Mid-Level Landscape Designer:

  • 2-7 years of experience working as an architectural designer.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Competency with hand sketching and drawing, Rhino/Sketchup, Lumion.
  • Experience in working with plants and planting design.
  • Basic cost estimating experience.
  • Strong technical design, written, and verbal communication skills.

Do you enjoy the artistic aspects of design as well as putting the finishing detailed touches on construction documents? Do you share a passion for innovative and sustainable site design?

If you said yes, you are going to love working with CLA Site.   • Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited school.
  • A Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license, preferably from New York State.
  • 3-5+ years of experience with a landscape architecture license, or 12+ years of experience without a license.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong technical design, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency initiating design concepts and project strategy.
  • Competency with hand sketching and drawing, Rhino/Sketchup, Lumion.
  • Experience working directly with clients.
  • Experience working on a variety of project types.
  • Proficiency in working with plants and planting design.
  • Cost estimating experience.

Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager

We are looking for someone with extensive design experience, a proven track record of successful projects, and a passion for mentoring and developing high-functioning teams.   • A Professional Engineer (PE) license or have plans to sit for the exam soon, preferably from New York State.

  • Strong math and science skills.
  • Strong written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools.

Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager

Are you an experienced design professional with a track record of completing amazing projects? If you are organized, a good communicator, and enjoy problem-solving, then the Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager position may be a perfect fit!

We are looking for someone who has a very hands-on approach to projects with experience working directly with clients, is very detail-oriented, and takes pride in an excellent work product going out the door. We are also looking for someone that enjoys mentoring younger team members to actively work on developing high-functioning teams with an excellent rapport.
